Denon DJ’s preparation software,Engine Prime has just been updated to version 1.5.0. This update brings with a bunch of fantastic new features and improvements to the software.
In this article we take a look at the most striking additions and new and improved features in the software making this an engaging option for DJs with features such as personalized user profiles that store preferences like screen brightness, sync settings, pictures or logos for the center display, and much more.In addition to these new features highlighted, there have been several enhancements made to existing features.
These include improved Beat Grid editing, Local Collection Backup and Restore. Lets dive right in!
1.All new Sync Manager
The Sync Manager window enables users to select multiple Crates and Playlists to export to any connected media device more easily. It also indicates the space needed for the selected Crates or Playlists as well as the available space for the selected media device. Additionally, performance data changes on Denon DJ Engine OS hardware can be synced backed also, including Hot Cue, Loops, and Beat Grid changes. Transferring music has never been easier.
2.Metadata Batch Editing
In the new Engine PRIME Operating Software v1.5.0 update, editing the metadata of multiple tracks in your collection makes it a stand out feature. Being able to Batch Edit saves a reasonable amount of time, especially when working with a large collection of music. The process is super simple too and as easy as selecting a group of tracks you want to edit, select the field that needs updating and apply the change to all of the tracks that have been selected.
3.Track Preview
This feature helps you quickly preview your tracks without loading them to the deck similar feature in Rekordbox too. Track preview playback can be activated just by clicking on the overview waveform in your tracklist. Hot cue markers show too, to help you identify your tracks with ease that you have pre-planned for your gig.
4.New BPM Detection Algorithm
Built from the scratch, Engine PRIME 1.5 features a brand new BPM detection algorithm. The new analysis process is lightning fast and provides highly accurate results. When analyzing music in v1.5, users will find both BPM and beat grid downbeat placement is far more accurate than the previous versions. To utilize the new BPM and downbeat algorithm you will have to reanalyze your tracks in Engine Prime.
